Is a Child Contact Centre a good alternative than stopping contact?

When parents separate or divorce, sometimes they are unable to communicate effectively even to discuss arrangements for their children, they are able to self refer for supported contact. This gives both parents a neutral place to hand the child over, until such time when they can make arrangements themselves. You can find a suitable contact centre by looking at NACCC: Child Contact Centres

Sometimes the family may be involved with Children Services and have been ordered by the court to have supervised contact sessions at a contact centre, whilst parenting assessments of safeguarding checks are being made.

Some parents who have been ordered to have contact in a contact centre, refuse, stating that they prove no risk. This may be the case, however it would be advisable to attend contact sessions and keep the father child bond, as it may not be possible to get it back with time apart. The centre's are a safe child orientated fun place to be.
